Flows: Detail View

What does the Flow detail view show?

The detail view answers one question about one Flow: is it working. It pairs a read-only preview of the Flow with the numbers that Flow has produced and the control that switches it on or off. Nothing here is editable — to change the Flow you open it in the Flow Builder. If you are still working out what a Flow is and what starts one, start there instead.

Which numbers does a Flow report?

Each Flow reports its own performance, separately from every other Flow.

  • Runs — how often the Flow has executed in total, and Last run for when it last did.
  • CTR — the click rate across the Flow's messages.
  • Revenue — the turnover attributed to the Flow, with a link through to the detail. Attribution runs through the Flow's own discount code, so a Flow without its own code reports no revenue even while it runs.
  • Cost — what sending the Flow has cost so far.
  • Opt-Ins — how many contacts this Flow itself won. That matters for Flows whose job is to collect consent rather than to sell.
  • Flow finish rate — the share of contacts that reached the end of the sequence.

What does the flow finish rate tell you that CTR does not?

CTR tells you whether a message landed. The finish rate tells you whether the sequence held. A Flow can earn a strong click rate on its first message and still lose most contacts before the last one, and the finish rate is where that shows up. Read it together with the block-level numbers: the block where contacts stop is the block to rewrite.

If the numbers say the Flow has barely run at all, the problem is usually the entry condition rather than the copy. Our guide to why a WhatsApp Flow is not triggering works through the usual causes in order.

What does the read-only preview show?

The preview lays the Flow out the way you built it, in two parts. When is the Starting point: the trigger event, the filters that are active, and the discount code if the Flow has one. Then is everything that follows, in sequence.

Each block carries its own live numbers. A Messages block shows how many messages were sent, delivered, read and skipped, plus its click rate, with the full text of each message visible. A Delay block shows its waiting time and how many contacts are sitting in it right now — the one number that tells you a Flow is mid-run rather than finished.

Can you activate or pause a Flow from here?

Yes. The status control switches the Flow between active and inactive and takes effect immediately, so you do not have to open the Flow Builder to pause something. Pausing stops new contacts from entering the Flow.

Not in the detail view. To get the Chat-in link or QR code for a Flow, open that Flow's Starting point — the link sits in the panel that opens there. See the Starting point in the Flow Builder for that panel, and the Chat-in Shop Widget for putting that link and QR code in front of customers.

A Chat-in Flow starts when the customer writes first, so it needs something for the customer to scan or tap. Each Chat-in Flow has its own link, which is what lets you tell a flyer, a packaging insert and a link in bio apart in the numbers.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my Flow show no revenue even though it is running?
Revenue is attributed through the Flow's own discount code. A Flow without a code has nothing to attribute orders with, so the revenue figure stays empty however well the Flow performs.
Can I edit the Flow from the detail view?
No. The preview is read-only. Open the Flow in the Flow Builder to change anything — the detail view is for reading the numbers and for switching the Flow on or off.
What does the waiting count on a Delay block mean?
Those contacts have entered the Flow and reached the Delay, and are waiting for it to elapse before the next message goes out. It is a live count, so it changes as contacts move on.
